Short version: if you give us your email address, we use it to write to you about our games, and for nothing else. We don't sell it, and we don't track you around the web.

Who we are

Funbase LLC (“Funbase”, “we”) runs funbase.ai and the sites of the games we make, including Five Suspects at fivesuspects.funbase.ai. This policy covers all of them. You can reach us at hello@funbase.ai about anything on this page.

What we collect

  • When you join one of our mailing lists, such as Five Suspects' Casebook, or ask for a free case file: your email address, which site and form you used, when you signed up, and the country your connection came from (Cloudflare tells us the country, not your address or city).
  • A note in your browser. After you sign up, the site you used keeps one small note in your browser's local storage so it can hand you the case file next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
  • Technical data. Our host, Cloudflare, handles the requests your browser makes, including IP addresses, to deliver our sites and protect them from abuse. We keep short-lived error logs to fix problems.

We don't use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics on our sites.

Why we use it

To send you the letter you signed up for, such as the Casebook with new Five Suspects cases, and the free case file you asked for. We use your country only to choose sensible send times. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Where it lives and who sees it

Your address is stored in a database run for us by Cloudflare. If we move a list to an email service to send our letters, we'll name that service here before we do. We never sell or rent your details, and we only share them when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every letter will have an unsubscribe link; until the first one goes out, write to hello@funbase.ai and we'll remove you.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or take a copy. If you're in the EU, the UK or California, the law gives you these rights and more, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Write to hello@funbase.ai and we'll answer within 30 days.

Children

Our sites aren't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and tell subscribers before anything important changes.
